Although Hart Road Potters is a new name, you will find beautiful works of art created by the same artists and potters who worked at Eldreth Pottery.Our artists perform the many tasks required to create the beautiful pottery made at Hart Road Potters. Turners throw pottery on a wheel or jigger pottery on a mechanical device, and other pottery is created by hand building or by pouring liquid clay into plaster molds. After the pottery forms are complete, artists apply underglaze decoration using brushes filled with various underglaze colors. Our redware receives a final coat of glaze before firing, while our stoneware is glazed by salt thrown into the kiln during the firing process.
