We are the Iowa DNR permitted Solid Waste and Recycling Agency serving all of Buena Vista County. We are located Southeast of Storm Lake on C65. Many consumer products are hazardous. They can be broken down into the following categories: Household Cleaners: Floor and furniture polishes, drain opener, disinfectants, rug and upholstery cleaners. Home Improvement: Oil based paint, varnishes, paint thinner/stripper, caulk and adhesives. Pesticides: Insecticide, insect repellent, weed killer, mouse poison, pet spray, mothballs, garden products. Automotive: Gasoline, windshield wiper fluid, car wax and cleaners, solvents, brake fluid, and body putty. Others: Pool Chemicals, color photo processing chemicals, artist paints, and batteries. We host household hazardous waste collections through-out Buena Vista County for residential hazardous waste. Call for seasonal yard waste hours!
