- Fluoride TreatmentFluoride is the most effective agent available to help prevent tooth decay. It is a mineral that is naturally present in varying amounts in almost all foods and water supplies. The benefits of fluoride have been well known for over 50 years and are supported by many health and professional organizations. We know fluoride strengthens the tooth’s enamel, preventing decay. We are able to strengthen your teeth further by applying professional fluoride treatments at home or in our office.
- Dental SealantsA sealant is a thin, plastic coating applied to the chewing surface of molars, premolars and any deep grooves (called pits and fissures) of teeth. More than 75% of dental decay begins in these deep grooves. Teeth with grooves are hard to clean and are very susceptible to decay. A sealant protects the tooth by sealing deep grooves, creating a smooth, easy to clean surface. In children any permanent molars can be protected by sealants, but we also treat adults, and occasionally baby teeth, that have deep groves.
- Fillings
- VeneersVeneers are thin, tooth-colored shells that are attached to the front surface of your teeth to improve their appearance. They are fabricated from porcelain and are permanently bonded to your teeth. Veneers can be used to treat a number of different cosmetic concerns, including chipped, broken, discolored, or smaller-than-average teeth.
- CrownsImplants become a sturdy base for supporting one or more artificial teeth called crowns. A connector known as an abutment is placed on top of the dental implant to hold and support your crowns. Implants are used to replace missing teeth or anchors for dental appliances.
