• Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
  Emotional problems because of depression, anxiety and family problems and difficulties in organization, attention and distractibility frequently seen in ADHD, can negatively impact school adjustment and performance. NuView’s Psychologists are experienced in diagnosing emotional, behavioral and other health concerns that help quality students for additional help from schools. Special accommodations through IEP’s and 504 plans may be more accessible because of comprehensive psychological evaluations done by our Clinical Psychologists. At school observations and meeting are often used to facilitate this process.
• Mental Health
  There are many issues a woman must face that a man does not. Women often find the stress imposed on them from society to be overwhelming at times. Relationship issues, health and body image issues, are just a few of the many that may cause emotional difficulties. These difficulties might sometimes be linked to a particular experience, or may be the result of cognitive irrationalities. NuView has Psychologists who specialize in women’s concerns. Working together, the patient and therapist can define a individualized plan for improved mental health from a womens perspective.
• Psychiatry
  Psychiatric counseling has many of the same approaches as a Psychologist. However, when medications are needed in the treatment of a psychological disorder, a consultation with a Psychiatrist may be required. Medications, such as antidepressants, mood stabilizers, or neuroleptics, may be critical for treatment success when patients have co-occurring mental disorders, such as depression, anxiety disorder, bipolar disorder, or psychosis. You may be helped to find a Psychiatrist outside of this office that can help with medication selection and any psychiatric concerns.
