- Veterinary OphthalmologyDr. Alston Whiten graduated from the University of Montevallo with a bachelor’s degree in Biology, then earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2018. He has a special interest in ophthalmology and enjoys challenging cases. Dr. Whiten in an active member of First Baptist Pelham, where he enjoys volunteering with the student ministry.

Minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery is a terrific option to shorten recovery times and provide the best experience possible for our patients. With laparoscopic technique, spay recovery time is cut in half and it becomes an outpatient procedure. - Laboratory ServicesOur patients can't talk to us so diagnostic testing is even more important than in human medicine. We are proud to offer a full IDEXX on-site lab for rapid in-house results including blood testing and analysis. Our digital radiography (X Ray) is the highest quality available and gives us outstanding images in seconds. Human quality ultrasound gives us a better look inside when necessary. A doctor will review results and images with you right in the exam room.
