General Info

Larissa West is a private flute instructor in Rappahannock County and the Stephens City area and adjunct professor of music appreciation at LFCC's Fauquier campus. She holds a Bachelor's of music Education degree and a Master's in Flute Pedagogy degree both from Shenandoah University. Larissa is an active performer with the Kernstown Winds and the American Legion Community Band in Front Royal, as well as a founding member of the Apple Valley Flute Choir. Larissa's students have frequently performed in the local District Bands and have auditioned for All-State Band. Her students give a recital twice a year on music they have worked on and written themselves. Larissa's students are also expected to learn some Music Theory and Music History as part of their musical training in flute.
