worst vet ever. my dog, 14 years old, wandered off on a sunday. picked up the Police Department and taken to County Line Pet Hospital in steger. I arrived there when they first opened , very concerned about my dog. he usually has his medicine first thing in the morning. they explained i needed to go to my local police first, to pick up citations before they could release the dog. i went to the SCHPD and they told me they would mail any citation to my residence if one was issued. I went back to County Line and told them what the police had said and they proceeded to make 3 phone calls trying to verify if i was being truthful. after verifying i was in fact telling the truth, they then said before they could release the dog, they would need to verify his rabies tag with the county. They stated several people make fictitious tags. What a joke of a hospital. All about the money, not about the care. My dog suffered an additional 4 hours needlessly. Hope this place is out of business soon.
