Steele Junior High School offers a variety of academic and extracurricular options to more than 240 students in kindergarten through grade eight. Its curriculum includes music, art, language arts, science, computer science, physical education, reading, writing, social studies and math. The school provides access to Internet-enabled computer systems in its classrooms, as well as the library media center and computer laboratory. Steele Junior High School offers accelerated reader, STAR Early Literacy, STAR Reading, STAR Math and Edutest programs. The school additionally organizes various sports activities, such as basketball, baseball, volleyball, cheerleading and football. It operates a parent-teacher organization that conducts several fundraising activities and special programs.
