Currently, Kerri Kuhlsen, L.Ac, C.SMA is the only practitioner certified in Sports Medicine Acupuncture in Staten Island, NY.Sports injuries are common reasons that many people seek acupuncture treatment. Sports Medicine Acupuncture (SMA) incorporates principles from both Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Western Sports Medicine to view the patients injury from each of these different perspectives. Treatments are beneficial for chronic pain, pre- and post-surgical rehabilitation, as well as pre-event preparation and post-event recovery.
