Founded in 1969, Lancer is a manufacturer of residential sofas, chairs and other furniture. The company markets its furniture products through wholesale distributors and a network of independent resellers. All Lancer furniture products feature interlocked frames with glued corners, built-in and decorative legs and high-density foam seats. In addition, Lancer furniture products are made with the company s propriety Regalflex D.I coil springs. The Regalflex D.I. features conical upholstery coils locked into position on a heavy gauge bottom grid and attached by clips to substantial edge wire around the construction's upper perimeter. Individual coils are transversely connected to adjoining coils by helical springs that serve to spread the load weight evenly across the entire seating surface. The company s manufacturing facility includes a frame shop, a foam-fabricating plant, cut and sew plant and an upholstery plant. Lancer maintains its manufacturing facilities and corporate operations center in Star, N.C.
