Star City Middle School provides educational and academic services to students in grades six through eight. The school is accredited by the Arkansas Department of Education and the North Central Association of Schools. Its academic curriculum includes language arts, science, English, athletics, music, physical education, reading, writing, social studies and math. It encourages students to participate in the National Honor Society, as well as the Health Occupations Students of America and the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA). Star City Middle School organizes various sports activities, such as basketball, baseball, golf, tennis, softball, cheerleading and football. Located in Star City, Ark., the school is operated by the Star City School District, which serves more than 1,500 students.
