Established in 1981, Hospice East operates as a voluntary organization. Based in Winchester, Ky., it serves terminally ill children and adults in Clark and Powell counties. The organization has received license from the State of Kentucky and certification from Medicare and Medicaid. Hospice East offers comprehensive and compassionate care to individuals living with several incurable diseases. The center provides various programs, including nursing home services, grief support groups and memorial services. It has membership with the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization, Kentucky Association of Hospice & Palliative Care and Kentucky Hospice Network.
