Scott Carruthers started working in the collection business in the mid-70s as a debt collector for GC Services, at the time the largest collection agency in the country. After working his way through law school and passing the California State Bar, he started his credit collection law practice with his former employer as his first client. With more than 40 years' experience and over 6,000 legal collection cases in his personal history, Scott has position himself as one of California's premier collection attorneys representing large creditors, collection agencies and debt buyers alike. Scott was a founding member of the Debt Buyers Association. The law office employs professional in-house debt collectors, asset locators, a sizeable support staff, and contracts with local process servers and other such vendors.
