Provided by YP.comProgressive Automotive has been our primary car repair service for almost 20 years now. I find their integrity, trustworthiness, honesty, and professionalism a standard bearer for which the industry should emulate. Countless times, I have given them "Carte-Blanche", (do this, that, and that too) and Billy, the Manager, would tell me that whereas they would be happy, for example to do the work I asked them to do; change the brakes, or the windshield wipers, or the fan belt, or whatever...those items did not need repairing or replacing. In other words, Billy turned away business that I was willing to pay for, because the repair was not needed. This to me speaks volumes about their honesty and integrity. A few years ago, they replaced a computer chip of some sort ($hundred$) free, because they did not catch the error to begin with, making a different repair in lieu. In other words, they stand by their work and their word...even if it is not their fault. More recently, this very issue of "trust" turned up at one of their competitor's trying to sell my grandson a new battery for his car when Progressive had installed a new battery just 10 months prior. The battery wasn't the issue of course.
Once, on a pre-purchase inspection, their findings dissuaded my daughter from buying a vehicle that otherwise looked wonderful on the surface....she had Progressive inspect another vehicle the next day instead...an itemized list followed, which cited some routine maintenance issues, but nothing out of the ordinary. This vehicle served my daughter for 100,000 miles or more until she bought herself a new car.
Responsibility is another watch word that describes Progressive Automotive...ALWAYS willing to take another look at an issue and stand behind their work or at least take the time to explain the issue to me...all without insulting my intelligence. Billy, Marcy, and all the mechanics can not be praised enough in my opinion. Their team gives me peace of mind.

Provided by YPmobileMr. Porsche2 needs to check who he is writing a review about. I have worked for Progressive Automotive and Tire for almost 15 years now and I personally will admit and take care of any damage that I have done to anyone's vehicle. I take extreme pride in my work and strive to never do any harm to customers vehicles. Our location at 60 Doc Stone Road is located off of Garrisonville Road next to a Giant grocery store, Century 21 realtor, Goodwill donation center, and other stores like Enterprise Rentacar, but we are not located next to a body shop. I believe Mr. Porsche2 is referring to another location and needs to consider changing his review. Thank you.

Provided by YP.comI go to Progressive Automotive all the time, have been for years. I have five vehicles that they take care of. Billy is a straight shooter. He works hard and has done a number of minor repairs at no charge. I have been living in Stafford for 17 years and I highly recommend Progressive Automotive on Doc Stone Road. As to the person with the Porsche who is complianing, to my knowledge there is no, nor has there ever been, a body shop near the Progressive Automotive on Doc Stone Road. I think they are confusing places. If you are going to complain, at least get the right place. Go see Billy you won't be sorry. - Al Tierney

Provided by YP.comThe are dishonest to say the least! I took my brand new to me 2008 Porsche Cayman S which had 13K miles that I flew out to Las Vegas to purchase and had it sent to me in good old Stafford Virginia to Progressive after being refered by the body shop next door who attempted to fix a minor scratch, and looked at some other imperfections i know were on the car with me. Progressive auto repair management pulled my car around and after 40 minutes or so brought it back around when I immediately noticed something had struck my bumper. I asked the manager what happened to my car, his response, "nothing hit your car". They denied doing the damage I took it back to the body shop angry and got an estimate for 450+ for the repair. I spoke to the owner who took his managers side and offered me 150 and asked that I sign a paper to keep me from informing the public of my experience and possibly leaving this bad review. They may deny doing the damage but I turned there 150 hush money away. I will be periodically sitting out near the shop informing possible customers of what happened to me. My Porsche had imperfections but after a simple state inspection had another. They are dishonest I did not want my car redone I just wanted what I feel happened in the shop to be repaired. Accidents happen but not with these guys. Maybe the reviews are so good because all the unhappy people get hush money? I'm not buying it for 150 dollars I'll warn you before walking away bought off...
Great customer service. Billy, Mat, Marcy and Michelle are all very helpful and corporative. The maintenance technicians are all up to speed and very knowledgable. I am very happy to have found this organization. I know that I am dealing an with honest and friendly professional staff. Billy and Mat always give the customers great advice for the repairs needed for their automobiles.Thank you for being there.
