I highly recommend Dr. Prillaman as a brilliant, gifted, and compassionate therapist. I had no idea who she was before our first session and she saved our marriage from a divorce that was imminent. I've found her to be highly professional and caring in all of our sessions. Dr. Prillaman is one of the best therapist I know of in the Houston area.

Disappointing. Not especially intelligent, insightful or talented. Lacks analytical skills. Cannot properly handle transference which is the cornerstone of psychodynamic therapy.My preteen daughter saw her while our family was going through a number of therapeutic issues. I saw a much more experienced doctor who was excellent. However, Julia's prices were lower because she was new so I thought she'd do fine for my daughter.Over a year later, my daughter had not bonded with her. Julia thought my daughter did not "know" her emotions; however, my daughter just did not want to talk to Julia on a personal level.She temporarily moved to a new location. After several months, I asked when she would return to her original location. She then claimed she never said she'd return and became defensive, saying it was my fault for misunderstanding. I never saw her after that, and she never bothered to call. After so much time spent with her, all it took was one misunderstanding, and she ran.
