I took my truck to the team at Transmission Exchange and they fixed what they could, but there were still some issues that they did not specialize in. They referred me to another shop that they work with locally, and contacted them for me and got an estimate. They were able to get all the work done at both shops withing a couple of days! They treated me with the upmost respect and were very friendly. I would definitely recommend them to anyone I know!!!! Took my car to these folks because I thought the transmission was slipping. The price to rebuild it was going to be $1450. After they checked it out, they told me all it needed was a $300 catalytic converter and referred me to another business in Springfield. They could have ripped me off big time! They didn't do that. They were honest and friendly. If I ever have a real transmission problem, I'm taking it to these people. The outside of the business might not be pretty but the people inside are wonderful. Can't say enough good things about them. Thank you!
Although they were quick to repair my transmission the quote given to me was a verbal quote of $1.550-$1,750. The totl came in at $2.020. This rate included a $60 tow even though we found a advertisement on the online yellow pages that said "free tow with major repair". Because the repair came in at over $500 more than quoted it took us about 2 weeks to pull the $2,020 together to pick up the car, after 9 days the shop called me and told me that if I could not pick up the car that day that they were going to charge me $25 a day for "storage"?! I would think that maybe after 30 days or something like that that a "storage" fee might apply....but after only 9 days??. Needless to say I would not reccommend others to patronize the establishment.
