Springfield Public Schools operates several elementary, middle and high schools. It operates attendance, transportation, technology, academic and staff development, and business, food and student services divisions. Its schools offer an academic curriculum that includes various subjects, such as math, science, social studies and reading. The schools also offer several extracurricular programs in visual arts, music, and health and physical education. In addition, the schools conduct sessions in communication arts, foreign languages, business education, marketing and technology studies. Springfield Public Schools provide a variety of sports activities, including baseball, football, volleyball, softball, soccer, wrestling, tennis, cross country, and track and field.
