- The mission of Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) of the Ozarks is to create, find and support programs that directly benefit children in the Ozarks. The cornerstone program of the organization is the Ronald McDonald House, providing a “home away from home†for families of seriously ill and injured children that travel to Springfield, Missouri for medical treatment. RMHC funds and operates two Ronald McDonald Houses. In addition, in 2002 RMHC launched and provides ongoing funding for the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile, also known as the “Tooth Truckâ€Â. This mobile dental clinic for at risk children is jointly operated by RMHC and The Tooth Truck, Inc. RMHC also operates a grantmaking program.

In 1996, our mission was expanded to support other programs that directly benefit children in the Ozarks and we became “Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Ozarks, Inc. Since that time, in addition to opening our first Ronald McDonald House near Cox South Hospital in 1988, we have established a grantmaking program, launched a mobile dental clinic called the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile (a.k.a. the Tooth Truck), and opened a second Ronald McDonald House at Mercy Children’s Hospital.
