In March 2006, we received a phone call from Vacations 4U. They offered us a vacation for 2 to the Lodge of the Ozarks for 4 days, 3 nights, plus 2 shows for $179. We accepted.In October 2006, we called to schedule our reservation for the Lodge of the Ozarks. We were informed we would be in the Palms Inn. I tried to check it out on the Internet. It was not available. Vacations 4U did not return our calls.The Palms Inn was not up to our standards. When we turned on the heat, the room filled with a urine smell. This made me ill for 1 1/2 days.We contacted Spinnaker Resorts who bought our name from Vacations 4U. We received a number and called Vacations 4U. They said they could not help us, but offered to send us a complimentary vacation for 2 nights in a comparable hotel as the Palms Inn. This was not acceptable.We checked prices of the Palms Inn $40.00 vs. $89.00 per night at the Lodge of the Ozark. This was a bait and switch scheme in my mind.This company should be held liable.
