PLEASE DO NOT go to ANY Minute Clinic in Springfield or even elsewhere...What you NEED TO KNOW IS THIS: EVEN THOUGH THEY ARE LISTED ON YOUR INSURANCE PROVIDER WEBSITES.......AS TAKING THEIR INSURANCE............***THEY DO NOT NOT SUBMIT ANY CLAIMS FOR YOU....EVER.....THEREFORE IF YOU GO IN TO ANY OF THESE SCAM PLACES FOR MEDICAL CARE ----YOU WILL HAVE TO PAY UP FRONT FOR THE ENTIRE AMOUNT. THEY DO NOT TELL YOU THIS ON THEIR OWN WEBSITE OR IN PERSON. YOU ARE REQUIRED TO DEAL WITH A KIOSK ONLINE THING TO MAKE APPT SO CAN NOT NOT ASK ANY QUESTIONS. AND YOUR OWN INSURANCE CARRIER WILL TELL YOU...UPON COMPLAINING ...THAT "THEY" cannot be held responsible for the billing policies for the practitioners on their own websites. SO...........WE WARNED!!!!!!!!! Also just had a personal experience with a visit for a sore throat that was charged 180$ !!!!!!! A Strep test is 35$ generally.. Even Walgreens does this type of appt for 80 to 90$. Also at CVS Minute Clinic they charged TWENTY DOLLARS for viscous lidocaine SEPARATELY. ENTIRE VISIT + 200$ for a strep test.........STAY AWAY FROM THESE MINUTE CLINICS and especially keep your college students away from them. They are positioned close the Universities and Colleges to take advantage of these kids.
