Provided by YP.comPlease NEVER EVER EVER !!!!!!!! buy anything from Hanks Unfine Furniture.
My wife and I bought a living room set for $2200.00 at their Springfield Mo. store and purchased an extended warranty. The salesman who was a assistant manager from Arkansas explained the warranty to us yes we did not read the whole document but it covered all defects including tears, stains, and pet damage. Well after 16 months our furniture is falling apart the leather has separated from its backing, the back cushions have lost their shape and drooping. When we went back to the store they said the furniture only has a 12 month warranty and the extra warranty we bought wont cover the damage.
When you spend this much on furniture you expect it to last more than 16 months. Hanks can use the black and white rules but they know this is not normal and could do something to help but has chosen not to do anything to help.
This can not be the normal quality of furniture they sell or they would be out of business. Companies need to understand you don't just sell a product you mainly sell service and Hanks Unfine Furniture is not providing a good service.

Provided by YP.comI bought a couch to be picked up the following week - instead I got a call telling me it would be another 3-4 weeks. When I said that was unacceptable, the salesman said he'd "see what he could do." I never heard from him again, so after 4 days I went to the store. The manager was "out" so I dealt with the asst manager. He said it wasn't their fault, it was the manufacturer, and if I wanted my money back I would be charged a 25% restocking fee. How on earth can they charge 25% to restock a couch that was never IN stock? He was rude and condescending. Finally, he offered me the floor model, which was in excellent condition. I finally have a couch. I just did a quick internet search and found at least three other people who had exactly the same problem with Hank's. They weren't told their furniture wouldn't be ready for a month, and were charged exorbitant fees to "restock." There are a dozen reputable furniture stores in Springfield. I will never step foot into a Hank's Fine Furniture again.

Provided by YP.com8/21/11 • A Salesperson Compliment
This is a compliment for Jan Cox at the Springfield MO store. I'm 61 yr old woman who's purchased lots of furniture in my life. Jan, hands down, was the most knowledgeable, professional, kind, and patient salesperson I've ever encountered. This lady is certainly an asset to the Hank's corporation.

Provided by YP.comI bought some furniture, and it was delivered like promises, however when it arrived, one peice was damaged. I was very unhappy after spending this kind of money, I contacted the store managment, and they assured me they would take care of it within a week, my new peice of furniture arrived when they promised and it was in great condition. They made many apoligies regarding my troubles, and assured me they would take care of me anytime I have a problem! This is a great place, great sales staff, clean store. Would gladley go back anytime. Thanks Hanks!
My husband and I purchased a couch and recliner on 1/1/11. We were told it would take 2 to 3 weeks for the shipment to come in. After 4 weeks I called to inquire and was told it would take an ADDITIONAL 2 to 3 weeks to arrive. No one ever called to let us know of the additional delay or why it was further delayed. No offer of free delivery or even an apology was given. I guess it's because this type of thing is not an uncommon experience for the customers of Hank's Fine Furniture. I am sorry we shopped there and won't make the same mistake twice.

Provided by YP.comHank's furniture experience was some of the worst customer service my wife and I have ever received. No greeting from any salesperson the 3 times we visted the store on 11/6/09 and 11/7/09. We had to hunt down a salesperson. Sales people are just down right cauky. Manager is as rude as can be. We would never recommed Hank's to anyone, I would be embarrsesd and ashamed if I were the Hank's owners and the employees who work there. I don't know how Hank's stays in business especially with all the other great furniture stores in the Springfield area. We ended up over at Haverty's in Springfield over on Hwy 65 and what great customer service and their prices were very good along with great quality. Frank was our salesman and would highly recommed him.

Provided by YP.comWe found the perfect piece of furniture at Hank's.
After spending 30 minutes walking around Hank's Fine Furniture trying to find a sales person, I yelled across the showroom to someone entering the building to ask if they work there. Slowly they walked up to me and asked if they could help.
I gave them the ticket off the piece I was interested in. He made some comment about an easy sale. I was told the piece was not in stock. I asked for the floor model, which was offered at full price. After a lengthy discussion, I was offered a very small amount off the price.
When I inspected the piece, there was goo on it and it was scratched. When I asked him to fix that, he told me I wasn't in a repair shop. After more discussion, salesman found the touch up kit and goo gone and worked on the piece. At that point I noticed a corner chipped off. Salesman explained that these things were from China and most out of the box were in worse condition and I should take this one, because a new one could be worse.
We promptly left the Fine furniture store.
