Rex Rizaldo's interest in cardiology began in nursing school and led him to a career in critical care medicine as a registered nurse and later he advanced his education and became a nurse practitioner. His subspecialty is cardiac electrophysiology, which focuses on the heart's electrical system and diagnosing, treating and managing arrhythmias. He is passionate about working cooperatively with patients and their families to identify the best treatments to help them feel better and improve their overall well-being. Outside of work, Rex enjoys family meals and movie nights with his wife and daughter, gardening, and supporting youth literacy in his community.
