The Bureau of Workforce Development is a part of the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity. It provides employability skills development training and placement services for individual and corporate clients. The bureau offers follow-up services for employment retention in high-wage and -skilled jobs. It also offers professional training to unemployed youths, adults and dislocated workers. The Bureau of Workforce Development provides work readiness analysis and case management services, as well as assistance with internship and job placements. Additionally, it partners with the Department on Aging, Department of Human Services, Illinois Occupational Skills Standards and Illinois Department of Employment Security. The Bureau of Workforce Development is located in Springfield, Ill.
