Central Illinois Community Blood Center provides life saving blood and blood products to more than 15 hospitals in central and southwestern Illinois. It is a nonprofit organization and was founded in 1971. It creates public awareness and education programs that call attention to the importance of blood donations. It supplies blood products after screening and testing according to the food and drug administration. It has partnerships with various hospitals, including the Greenville Regional Hospital, Touchette Regional Hospital, Hillsboro Area Hospital, Kenneth Hall Regional Hospital and Illini Community Hospital. Central Illinois Community Blood Center is located in Springfield, Ill.
