Springdale Jr and Senior High School, a part of the Allegheny Valley School District, educates students in grades seven to12. The school offers classes in business, technical arts, computer science and the arts in addition to academic classes of English, science, mathematics and social studies. Foreign languages, home economics, physical education and health classes are also part of the school's curriculum. Five advanced placement courses are offered in the upper grades in addition to a distance learning option. The school has five computer labs and supports 16 athletic teams. It also supports academic games, junior high activity clubs, an acapella choir, a key club, school bands, a national honors society, a biology club, a newspaper, a chemistry club, a computer club, a senior high art club, a drama club, a Spanish club, a drill team, a student council, a writing club, a German club, a world cultures club, a jazz ensemble and a school yearbook.
