After many years of back pain and pain management that did not work I was referred to Dr. Katz at Northwest Arkansas Neurosurgery Clinic. He identified the root cause of my pain as Spinal Stenosis. No family practitioner I had seen up to this time would even discuss surgery. I had been through physical therapy 3 separate times for weeks at a time, TENS units, pain medications, spinal injections, etc.If you can think of any short term pain solution, I tried it. Dr. Katz immediately recognized the degenerative condition of my spine that no one else had seen. After seeing the MRI images he scheduled my surgery being genuinely convinced it was the obvious next step if I wanted to live a normal, productive life without pain. After only 6 weeks of recovery I'm back to my normal lifestyle and activity level. He and his entire staff were amazing throughout the entire process. I can't express how grateful I am for his gifted expertise.I have my life back!Thank you! - D.Scott, Bentonville

Provided by Doctor.comI saw the other 1-star review and had to submit a significantly different opinion. Had spinal fusion 8 months ago - doctor in MN fused 2 vertebrae, should have done 3. Only 5 days after surgery, in spite of still recovering from surgery, I felt much bette...

Provided by Doctor.comhad surgery posterior, left middle screw out, said it may fuse
we would have to wait and see. of course he did not tell me about the screw , i was alerted by my pain management dr. he said he had never seen a fusion like that before. had revision surgery anterior and new hardware posterior. am 7 weeks out and can already tell the difference.all he had to do was flip me over and secure spine from the front. all i will say is i still have time before my two years is up!!
