The Moleston Fire District is a district corporation and a political subdivision of the State of New York. The Moleston Fire District is one of the largest fire districts in Rockland County in New York and serves the town of Ramapo, Haverstraw and Clarkstown. It adminsters the Hillcrest Fire Company 1, which has been operational since 1915. The fire district s fire company provides fire protection and rescue services to residents within its jurisdictional area. Its fire company serves more than 10,000 residents and businesses that are spread over an area of over 35 square miles. The Moleston Fire District s fire company operates through various fire stations and maintains apparatus, such as pumpers, aerials, and equipment and brush trucks.
