Founded in 1964, Head Start of Rockland is a nonprofit agency that offers early childhood education programs for children from low-income families. The agency serves children up to the age of 5 and their families. It provides various child care programs at more than 10 sites in Rockland County in New York. Head Start of Rockland also offers several programs for children with disabilities. The agency provides the English as a Second Language program for beginning and intermediate students. It specializes in the Head Start and Early Head Start programs. Head Start of Rockland offers special education services for preschool children. The agency additionally provides pre-kindergarten education in collaboration with the East Ramapo Central School District, North Rockland Central School District and Nyack Union Free School District.
