I bought a brand new KitchenAid dishwasher ($683.00) and had it delivered. When the washer arrived the delivery men already had the washer out of the box before they unloaded it off the truck. I went out to meet them at the end of the driveway. They said they were inspecting the washer for dents prior to bringing it into the house. While the machine was still on the truck I opened the door and the unit was wet inside as if it had just been used. The driver said this was due to being tested at the factory. Still wet after being tested, seriously?? I assumed all was well at this point. Later, while preparing the machine for install, we discoverd part of the frame of the washer was severly dented/bent. Lowes agreed to exchange the machine. However it's since become clear to me, that the first machine was a refurbished unit. Lowes will deliver refurbished machines upon Brand New machine purchases. Buyer Beware.
