I was in Fredericksburg and needed a vet because my dog was vomiting. My friend who I was visiting reccommended Leavells. I was suprised they were able to fit me in even though I wasn't a client. The staff was super nice and professional. Dr Kline was gentle with my dog Shaggy and gave me options for treatment which I appreciated. Shaggy ended up making a full recovery without needing surgery (yeah!). Wish I lived closer so they could be my regular vet clinic. Prices were reasonable and exactly as quoted. Highly Reccommend!!!

BEWARE Of Being Overcharged And BEWARE If You Question Your Bill!

Called 2 make appt. for vaccines for my 2 dogs. Asked & told the amount 2 be charged. Upon confirmation call from office 4 my appt. I re-confirmed amount 2 be charged for vaccines. Once there, my appt which should have taken a little over 30 minutes became 1.5 hrs. Then when given bill it was $50 more than I was told. Come 2 find out they had done a fecal exam which was never discussed as an additional charge on top of the $65 exam fee already quoted. When I questioned my bill the receptionist blamed me for allowing the fecal exam to be done on the dog - when all the vet tech did was walk out and ask me to hand her my dog-. (I should not have to re-state and re-state what the appt was for. Not to mention I was there for an hour and a half in their tiny office w/ 2 dogs with & 2 antsy kids!) 2 times I had confirmed before the appt - plus upon check in I stated why they were there- plus with 2 vet techs & the Dr. I had stated we were there for vaccines. So at least 4 times to multiple people I stated & re-stated the reason for my appt. When I said I did not have the extra $ on me to pay the difference, the receptionist got loud with me & demanded I pay my bill in full, I asked to speak to the Dr. in charge who refused to speak to me. I never refused to pay my bill. I disputed the fact that they charged me for a service I did not request or knowingly consent 2. After the Dr. refused to speak to me, I asked who could I speak to about my bill & at that point in front of my son and other patrons of the business – the receptionist accused me of being drunk & threatened to call the police on me for being drunk w/ children! I was stunned & shocked! So to protect my own integrity & character I called the police myself &requested a breathalyzer. Upon the arrival of the police I blew a .000! The receptionist verified w/ the officers that she did accuse me of being drunk & she did threaten me. Plus the receptionist even verified that I did not curse or in any way retaliate against the way she was treating me – other than by calling the police myself in reaction 2 her threat 2 me. Dr. Kline who owns the practice was contacted & told the officer she would call me the next day. Finally 3 days later after 2 mssgs from me, she returned my call for 2 minutes to tell me she didn’t care what my side of the story was, offered no apology, she spoke 2 me w/anger in her voice & told me to tell her where to fax my pets records to and when I tried to discuss the situation with her, she hung up on me.
