MY name is DR. Brian flake the proud owner of gentle touch wellness healing clinic located in the beautiful historic garland district AT 608 west garland. OUR phone number is (509) 924 1942 I graduated from Eastern washington university in 1971 and moved to Denver Colorado where I worked AT the Denver athletic club for 25 years; 15 years in athletics and 10 years AS a massage therapist. During this time MY sport activities consisted of downhill skiing. Cross country skiing. MOUNTINEERING. 10 marathons. And ONE 82 mile TRIATHLON. While I was working AS a massage therapist I was going through considerable Depression DUE to loss of eyesight AS a result of retinitis PIGMENTOSA, a disease that usually ends UP in blindness. I stopped ALL MY sport activities and getting from home to work was a struggle. Then a miracle happened! MY supervisor john thomas ONE DAY said. “Brian. Have YOU ever thought of getting a seeing EYE DOG? because I DO NOT want to GET a phone call in the middle of the night that YOU are in some hospital. ” SO in 1990 I went to pilot dogs in Columbus Ohio and received MY first seeing EYE DOG named eagle. I have HAD speedy and Tiffany AS seeing EYE dogs and they are ALL yellow labs. After I GOT MY first seeing EYE DOG eagle. I went back to ALL MY sport activities. Even downhill skiing where YOU SKI with a guide and they tell YOU HOW and when to turn. SO I was skiing with MY guide AT winter park Colorado and SHE suggested I TRY racing. Well there I was. UP their racing AT winter park the next weekend with a goal to GO to the 1994 disabled LITTLEHEIMER Olympics in Norway AS a member of the united states disabled SKI team. In a training RUN AT the 1993 U. S. Championships in Beaver Creek Colorado I flew OFF course and HIT a tree and HAD a flight for life helicopter ride. AS I woke UP in a Denver hospital 2 days later. I realized that MY dream of becoming an Olympic champion was over. But MY dream of being a chiropractor began. SO in october of 1997 I packed UP MY talking computer and MY seeing EYE DOG speedy and entered Palmer college of chiropractic in davenport. Iowa and completed it in june of 2002 with a grade point of 3.47. I then opened UP MY practice in Spokane washington in 2004 I completed MY reconnection 1.2. And 3 in september of 2013 in Denver Colorado. SO MY question to YOU is. What is your dream? I know ONE thing for sure. If YOU follow your dreams YOU will find your life!.
