Firemen DO ROCK!!! I am new (3 weeks) to the Spokane area. Last week I was out of town for business trip and came home to my rental all freshly painted - but NO kitties! I have two and they did not come to see me. I called and called and finally found one under the upstairs floor and the other in the basement ceiling. The painter had left the cover off of the cold aire return, and cats being cats . . . Well long story short, I was able to get the upstairs cat out but not the other. In a panick I called the Wellesley Ave fire department for help 'to get my cat out of the wall'! They showed up in less than 5 minutes, scoped out the situation and proceeded to get my cat out of the wall at 2:30 in the morning! I know it was not their usual 'emergency' - but it was to me and they treated me and the situation just that way! They were WONDERFUL!!! Shame on me for not getting their names - but they DO ROCK!!! Thanks for being there for a brand new neighbor of your community!

Firemen rock, Despite the obvious of saving life, and putting out fires. Some times they go out of there way to help others. My grandson (23 months) loves firetrucks so we stopped by to see if we could get a picture or something. Instead the fireman showed him the truck, hoses, tools, let him sit in the truck and even turned on the lights. He hasn't stopped talking about it. At 2 years old he knows what he wants to be now. He well make a good fireman, he tired to hosed out the Bar-B-Q because it was smoking. THX again for going out of your way. We all should do a little extra it does matter.
