The staff was unattentive and stood around while residents call lights were going off. The rehab unit has good sized rooms because the Medicare people are treated better than long term residents. The rooms on the long term side are tiny and look like theyre from the 60's. Holes in the floors and walls. The long term side should be shut down I had to get my mother out of there quick!!!
Alderwood Manor was an excellent choice for my mom after she had a stroke and was paralyzed on her right side. Their therapists were awesome and all the caregivers so kind and helpful. Ty and Nina really went out of their way to see to her comfort, maintain her dignity and make her feel at home, doing her hair, massaging her with lotion, all the special touches she was used to. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. The meals were great, and guests could eat for $4 per meal. We had family parties in their private dining room. The facility itself is cheery, homey, and very clean, at least in the rehab wing. The smell of freshly baked cookies every day was a welcome scent as we entered the lobby. Although she seldom participated, many activities were offered. We loved Patches, their resident cat. When it came time for her to go home, she had mixed feelings because she hated to leave her friends. Alderwood Manor made a very difficult time as pleasant as possible and I recommend them

I had a wonderful experience at Alderwood Manor. The staff and therapist were great. I was pleased with the friendly nursing staff and exceptional care the therapist gave me for a safe return home after only 3 weeks in rehab.

My mother was a resident at Alderwood after a stroke. It was our first experience with nursing homes. I would never recommend Alderwood to anyone. My mother was examined stark naked when first arriving, when there were others in the room. She fell out of bed at least twice while she was there. We asked for a railing, but the staff said they weren't allowed to use them. I witnessed questionable feeding practices of disabled residents while I was visiting my mother. I would strongly urge anyone to think twice before bringing a family member here!
