Since 1979, Spokane Internal Medicine has been providing internal medicine and primary care services to the greater Spokane and Spokane Valley areas. Started by three physicians more than 30 years ago, Spokane Internal Medicine, now with nine board-certified physicians and four nurse practitioners, continues to offer top-of-the-line care with a special focus on chronic disease management and prevention. As the practice has grown, additional on-site and general services have been added to the Spokane Internal Medicine repertoire. These include: • Diabetes education • On-site imaging • Clinical lab testing The team of board-certified, highly qualified physicians includes eight males and one female. For patients needing more in-depth care, Spokane Internal Medicine works with hospital-based physicians to provide in-patient, 24-hour care at Valley Hospital and Deaconess Medical Center. For acute care needs, the staff of nurse practitioners is qualified to administer physical exams, prescribe medications, manage the Coumadin clinic, assist with cardiac stress tests, take health histories or simply help with patient needs if the physicians are unavailable. Most major insurances are accepted, including Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, United and more. Medicare, Medicare Advantage and Tricare are also accepted.
