The Northern Hills Training Center, established in 1976, is a nonprofit organization that provides residential options and work opportunities for patients suffering from physical and developmental disabilities. It provides 24-hour emergency support, scheduled transportation, personal support and assistance with cooking and cleaning. The center provides vocational training programs to residents and offers skill and personality development classes. The health care services offered by the center include medication monitoring and management, physical and occupational therapies, nutritional evaluation and diet planning, and speech and language assessments. The recreational activities offered by the center include hobby exploration, community involvement and social activities. The Northern Hills Training Center is located in Spearfish, S.D.
