I am an unfortunate ex-customer of Denton's Transmission. Last February the transmission of my car was stuck in second or third gear. I was told that I needed a rebuilt trany. The car already had over 200,000 miles on it so needing a rebuild was not unreasonable. I paid Denton's $1700 to rebuild the trany. After two weeks the job was done, along with a 10,000 mile or one year warranty. During the year I had occasionally experienced some slight hesitation. Then thirteen months later the car without warning, suddenly goes into limp mode (stuck in third gear). I call Denton's and they looked at the car and said it needed some new clutch plates and that they would give me some warranty consideration, but they would have to charge me for the parts. Again, not unreasonable, although very disappointed that the rebuild lasted just a little longer than a year, with less than 5,000 miles driven. After them having the car for 8 wks and $450 later, the car is not fixed. Take your care elsewhere!
