General Info
In 1934, Ruth Dorsey founded the Dorsey School to meet the growing demand in business for highly skilled operators of Victor and Burroughs' comptometer machines. In its day, the comptometer was the most advanced technology for data tabulation and was widely used, well into the 1960's. Today, Dorsey remains a committed career school that prepares individuals for promising career opportunities, technology training, and certifications for the medical, culinary arts, business, legal, and computer fields. Dorsey Schools is accredited by the Accrediting Council of Independent Colleges and Schools and serves the Detroit metropolitan area with seven convenient suburban locations: Farmington Hills, Madison Heights, Roseville, Saginaw, Southgate, Waterford-Pontiac and Wayne-Westland. Dorsey is proudly represented by tens of thousands of successful graduates from our several career schools in Michigan. Get started on your career training today and you too can represent Dorsey by working in the field of your choice, right here in southern Michigan.

Provided by YPmobilePlease do not waste your money. If I can save anyone from going to this school i would be saving them money, time, and much unnecessary stress! All but 2-3 teachers in the whole faculty actually teach students. You sit in class for hours doing nothing. The teachers sit back and watch the clock and basicly babysit the students. They get paid to sit on their butts and do nothing because there is no authority in the building. They change their attendance rules and policy's like you would use tissue with a bad cold. They don't have it together at all. They are in business to make money and not to provide education. Half the classes don't have the supplies needed so we pretend to do procedures when the teachers decide to give work. All the money they take and they don't have nothing but needles, cheap breakable supplies, and 1 dummy body to give education with. I have no clue how this school passes creditation! Maybe they use the students money to pay off auditors! Please stay away. If I haven't changed your decision, and you still want to enrol please think again. Please do your research. Talk to current students first. Do not talk to the money hungry unorganized staff. Please please think twice and think twice again after that! It truly not worth it! Go to a better school even if the programs longer. It would be worth it I promise you!
