Operational for more than 70 years, Bethanna is a nondenominational, Christian nonprofit agency providing services for children and families of all faiths. Its foster care program recruits families to provide temporary care to children in their homes. It offers various programs, such as general, medical and treatment foster care, and the kinship care program. Bethanna s adoption unit provides full adoption services from orientation and homestudy, to postfinalization support. Its postadoption support systems program is a formalized service offered to all families who adopt through Bethanna and other area agencies. Its outpatient mental health services are designed to meet the needs of children with a variety of adjustment, behavioral and emotional difficulties, including impulsivity, oppositional behavior, mood disorders, self-esteem issues and school problems. Bethanna s mental health professionals are specially trained to meet the needs of children placed in foster, preadoptive and adoptive homes. Bethanna has an office in Southampton, Pa.
