South Windsor High School is a public, grades nine to 12 secondary school located in South Windsor, Conn. The school provides a wide range of college preparatory, honors and advanced placement programs in applied technology, English, science, social studies and physical education. It provides technology courses to students in grade nine in a variety of subjects, including photography, computer-aided designing and drafting, journalism, architectural designing and graphic communication. It additionally offers music, foreign languages, arts and consumer and health science courses to students in grades 10 to 12. It also offers courses in physical sciences, such as geology, astronomy, applied chemistry and physics. The school provides various clubs, such as the National Honor Society, drama, history, fishing and Japanese culture clubs. The athletic programs of the school comprise football, softball, lacrosse, gymnastics, basketball and track. The school also has guidance and media centers, and also offers various music programs, such as choir, orchestra, band, wind ensemble and guitar.
