I used this company based on a recommendation from a friend. They did good work on her house. The did a terrible job on my house and never completed the work I paid them for. They were supposed to put aluminum siding on all the big windows and they didn't. Do not use this company if you have an older home. Get your full transaction in writing and sue them if they don't complete the work. Terry, the good old boy salesman who set up our deal, didn't put anything in writing so I'm sure it's way too late for me to get anything remedied now. Lesson learned. Don't be trusting like I was. This company can do good work, but they didn't do good work for me.
They talked me into just replacing the glass and not the entire window. I specifically explained the problem with the biggest window and they assured me it would be fixed. The glass is too short and there is a gap now. It does not seal in the middle and has a worse draft now than before. I spoke with a sales rep and he was either going to come fix it or have the installer call me. Neither happened. When I went in to the showroom, they said that the gap was "normal" and if I didn't like the gap I could silicone it. So now I have a window that I have to fix myself instead of having done right! I will never recommend these jokers to anyone, ever!
These guys are by far the best window company in SLC. I needed 7 windows replaced in my house. I got quotes from numerous companies, then someone in my ward referred me to The Brokerage. No one even came CLOSE to The Brokerage's quote. When my wife told me it was going to cost less than $1500 for seven energy efficient windows, I didn't believe it. Not only did these guys deliver, but they were extremely kind and respectful when they came for the install. I would recommend them to anyone -- and I am extremely picky when it comes to contractors.
