- UlcerOur medical team believes that compression stocking therapy plays a major role in the pre-and post-care of venous system issues. You will be prescribed 30-40 mmHg compression stockings that can be purchased either through our office or a durable medical equipment provider. We do not work with insurance companies to cover the cost of these stockings, so it will be your responsibility to get coverage information from your carrier. Medicare does not cover the cost of the stockings unless the patient is being treated for an active leg or foot ulcer at the time of the visit. This will be discussed further during your visit with us.
- LesionsThe ulcers can appear as small “scrape-like†lesions and can become much deeper, larger wounds with time.
