Associated Colon and Rectal Surgeons, also known as ACRS, is a university affiliated practice offering diagnosis and treatment for diseases of the colon and rectum. The practice consists of seven board-certified colon and rectal surgeons. Its areas of expertise include management of colon cancer, inflamatory bowel disease, Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, diverticulitis, irritable bowel, benign and malignant anorectal conditions, hemorrhoids, abscesses and fistulae, disorders of continence, advanced laparoscopic surgery and colonoscopy and cancer screening. The firm offers laboratory evaluation for disorders of continence including constipation, incontinence and levator muscle spasm. ACRS has its headquarters in Edison, N.J., and a branch office in New Brunswick, N.J.
