South Milwaukee Middle School is a public school that provides academic education to students in grades six through eight. The school s curriculum includes English, mathematics, language arts, foreign languages, science, social studies, and foreign languages with a choice in German and French. The middle school also offers physical and special education and basic computer courses, such as Internet applications and Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. It also offers technology education and courses in business and engineering trades. Additionally, the school organizes various extracurricular activities, such as dance, drama, music, orchestra, Christmas programs and musical concerts. The school also offers summer school and health and wellness programs. South Milwaukee Middle School has a library and media center that offers a large collection of curriculum books, periodicals, audiovisual equipment, magazines and newspapers, and access to the Internet. It also provides various sports activities, such as basketball, baseball and football. The middle school is located in South Milwaukee, Wis., and enrolls more than 700 students.
