Dr. Javier Jimenez is currently the Director of Advanced Heart Failure and Pulmonary Hypertension at South Miami Hospital. He is a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at the Hebert Wertheim College of Medicine at Florida International University and Clinical Professor at the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine. He obtained his medical degree and PhD at the University of Alcala de Henares in Madrid, Spain. Dr. Jimenez then fulfilled an Internal Medicine Residency and Cardiology Fellowship at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island and completed additional fellowships in Advanced Heart Failure/Cardiac Transplantation at the Cleveland Clinic, Ohio and in Interventional Cardiology at Brown University.
