- Puddle Jumper Preschool is an educational center with a focus on learning through experience. Our curriculum educates the "whole child" by focusing on cognitive, emotional, social, creative and physical development. Activities are carefully chosen with each developmental area in mind. Puddle Jumper provides a safe and loving environment for children to explore and experience activities that are tailored to their individual interests, abilities and learning styles. Activities at the school are designed to help children have success, which will build confidence and self-esteem. Puddle Jumper is a "hands-on" preschool, children will learn through art, music, role play, and working with tactile materials (paint, clay, sand, water, and more). These type of activities encourage children to observe, discuss, create, and solve problems. Students are encouraged to imagine and participate in peer play. They are taught social boundaries and to respect teachers and friends. Social and emotional skills are fundamental parts of preschool age development. Students will be taught academic fundamentals in fun and engaging ways. Concepts about print, phonemic awareness, phonics, vocabulary, fluency and comprehension are the building blocks for successful readers. These concepts and skills will be presented and practiced in creative ways. Writing (fine motor skills), counting, recognizing colors, letters, numbers and shapes prepare students for Kindergarten. * Preschool for 3-4 Year Olds T/Th 2.5 hrs * Pre- K for 4-5 Year Olds M/W/F 2.5 hrs * Advanced Reader for 4-5 Year Olds M/W/F 2.5 hrs
