Provided by YP.comArrived at 4:00pm X-mas eve. We were treated very rudely by the main person at the front entrance. He said we don't have room for you. We wanted to go into the bar from the lobby he said go outside and around. Then once we went into the bar they made it sound like they were so busy and had no room there either. There were only 4 parties in there and only one party came in the entire time we were there. Five employees at the front reception area and three at the bar. All just as unhelpful as the next. We were regular customers, but no more, the pompous attitude they portray sickens me. A letter to the owners will follow.

Provided by DexKnowsWE HAVE USUALLY ENJOYED DINING HERE IN THE PAST HOWEVER, OUR LAST VISIT WAS DISAPPOINTING ON MANY LEVELS! FIRST, THEY HAVE RAISED PRISES ASTRONOMICALLY! FOR WHAT YOU GET . SECOND, THE WAITER WAS ANNOYING ON MANY LEVELS. HE TALKED SO MUCH THAT HE DIDN'T GET THE ORDER CORRECT. HE WAS INTRUSIVE AND ARROGANT. THE DINNER WAS ONLY SO SO. FOR THE PRICE TAG OS $83.00 FOR TWO HALIBUT DINNERS, WE EXPECTED A MUCH NICER DINNER! THE PRICES WENT UP THRU THE SKY, BUT THE PLATES WERE EXACTLY THE SAME. FOR THOSE PRICES, THEY NEED TO UP THEIR OFFERINGS A BIT. UNFORTUNATELY, WITH THIS BAD EXPERINCE AND THE HUGE INCREASE IN PRICES, WE WILL PROBABLY CHOOSE THE BRICK OVEN GOING IN NEXT DOOR FOR OUR NEXT DINNER.

Provided by DexKnowsPLEASE!!! You cannot give Market ST. Restaurants 5 Stars! Unless you're a LAND-LOCKED amateur. I was raised in New England, so be fair & compare apples to apples. NO handicapps here! If you want to swim with the Real Fish, you've got to never see ice and must be compared on the level playing field meaning by the same standard that the leading Seafood restaurants nation-wide are be measured by such as: 1) The Sole Proprietor in Worcester, MA, 2) Legal Seafood Boston and MA-wide, 3) Anthony's Pier 4 on the Boston Harbor, Newick's in Portsmouth, NH (no atmosphere but incredibly fresh and great food and on the water where they get their seafood fresh as well across the bay there). And what about all the incredible ones in California, Washington, NY, and other places I have dined (but canot recall their names). And even in land-locked Ft. Wayne, IN home of two of the best: "Paula's On Main" and the Oyster Bar/House. Been to them all and Market Street is okay for Utah.Try 'em and see!

Provided by DexKnowsBest clam chowder in the state, but be careful of the crusty bread....you might break a tooth!

Provided by DexKnowsOur food lived up to the Market Street reputation of excellence and was presented well. However, our server could have used a little more training. We felt rushed to leave. Our plates were removed before we were finished and we received our dessert menu before we had even begun our entree. Otherwise, it was the same high quality of dining that we have experienced at the other Market Street locations.

Provided by DexKnowsIt is so wonderful to have an excellent resturant come to the south valley area. Market Street is the best for seafood and other foods. Amazing desserts - go there just for dessert sometime. Love to be able to buy and eat FRESH seafood. Excellent and very professional staff.

Provided by DexKnowsI'm not a huge fish fan, so I haven't been totally excited about Market Street. After the Cottonwood Heights location over-cooked my shrimp, I thought "how good can they be?". I'm happy to say that the new location in Riverpark exceeds all expectations. Their filet mignon was second only to Ruth's Chris. Our awesome server (Fred) suggested the dessert special. I should have ordered two! Oh my, it really was unbelievable. The service is amazing, and I even like the fish (imagine that!). We'll continue to patronize this local upscale restaurant. It's about time we had a really nice restaurant in the South Valley!
