Southwest Community Services is a nonprofit human services agency that serves adults with developmental and mental disabilities, children up to 3 years with development delays, and individuals with cerebral palsy and other neuromuscular disorders. Established in 1971, it offers employment, early intervention, psychosocial rehabilitation and clinical services. The organization s services include vocational counseling and assessment, job development, therapeutic care, case management and consumer referral services. It also assists clients with advertising displays, bulk mailings, collating, folding, gluing, cutting, automatic heat sealing, labeling, packaging, punch-press sorting and stapling work. The organization is affiliated with the Association for Retarded Citizens of Illinois, the Tinley Park Chamber of Commerce and the United Way of Metropolitan Chicago. Southwest Community Services is located in Tinley Park, Ill., and is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities.
