After several years as a registered nurse, Katherine chose to become a family medicine nurse practitioner because it allows her to make a difference in the lives of her patients and get to know and help them throughout their lifespan. She chose to become a nurse practitioner in family medicine because it allows her to make a difference in the lives of her patients and get to know and help them throughout their lifespan.The opportunity to help others improve their health and wellness is what keeps her motivated. More specifically, her special interests are in diabetes management and mental health.In her free time, Katherine likes to exercise, read, travel and spend time with her husband and two dogs.My primary goal is to provide optimal patient care based on each patient’s personal needs, goals and values. I believe the best healthcare is achieved through a collaborative approach between all members of the team, including the patient. My desire is to have each patient leave their appointment feeling heard and supported.
