Hoffer Plastics Corporation is a family-owned custom injection molding company. It has more than 90 custom injection molding machines divided into seven manufacturing areas. Each molding room has a plant manager, foreman, assistant foremen and operators. An engineering group provides tooling support for the construction and debugging of new and existing tooling, regular maintenance, repair and setup. This includes EDM, jig grinding and CAD-CAM/CNC machining capabilities. Hoffer received ISO 9002:QS 9000 certification in 1997, and in 2004, received ISO/TS 16949:2002 certification, thus meeting the International Quality Standard recognized throughout the world. Robert A. and Helen Hoffer founded the company in 1953. Hoffer operates in a 360,000-square-foot facility in South Elgin, Ill.
