Whenever our family travels in the West Virginia/Ohio area, we look for a Bob Evans Restaurant. Almost always, they have good-tasting food, a friendly wait staff, competitive prices and clean surroundings. However, two days before Christmas 2011, we visited the Bob Evans Restaurant on McCorkle Avenue Charleston, WV. Big exception to the rule! A willing waitress came to our table. She was not organized and brought our orders (we were a party of seven) and we had to ask for silverware, then napkins, then rolls, then butter and then the rest of our silverware including k. I had spaghetti with plain marinara sauce - my standard order at The Bob - it was lukewarm; the taste was awful. Not at all like the usual pasta sauce served She warmed it when she took it, at my request, to add enough sauce to flavor the pasta. Daughter-in-law had eggshell in her salad and as the crowning touch, discovered a hair at the bottom of her bowl. They did apologize profusely and the salad was free.
